June Adel, a fashion brand known for its unique selection and extensive plus-size collection, partnered with us to enhance their digital marketing efforts. The brand sought to migrate to a more suitable email marketing platform, increase revenue, reduce ad spend, and boost brand awareness and trustworthiness. Our approach included a comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy and a robust Email & SMS Marketing plan to drive more traffic, engagement, and sales.

Problem
The client faced multiple challenges, including an outdated email service provider (ESP) with no automation, stagnant email list growth, and underperforming sales revenue. Their existing email list had 52,000 subscribers but only 15,000 were active. Additionally, their website had limited internal linking, missing metadata, and broken URLs, impacting organic visibility. Their filter options were basic, affecting user experience, and their checkout process prevented the display of Google customer reviews. The client needed assistance in leveraging data for strategic decision-making, increasing brand awareness, and optimizing their digital presence to drive conversions and repeat purchases.

Solution
To enhance the shopping experience, the navigation menu was revamped, and advanced filtering options were added. The checkout pages were updated, and store ratings, Google customer reviews, unique selling propositions, and missing ALT text were added to product pages. 404 errors were resolved, and structured metadata was implemented to improve search visibility. The Google Business Profile was optimized, and A/B testing of the “Add to Cart” buttons was conducted. The ESP was migrated, and DMARC, SPF, and DKIM were set up for better email deliverability. High-impact automations, including Welcome, Abandoned Cart, and Post-Purchase Series, were implemented. In the second phase, SMS marketing and engagement campaigns were added to boost retention and sales, while email content was optimized with product highlights and promotions.
Search Engine Optimization
As part of our ecommerce SEO strategy, we conducted a comprehensive SEO audit and addressed multiple technical issues affecting website performance. Our SEO team optimized internal linking in order to help with navigation and crawlability. We also resolved 404 errors by implementing redirects and structured metadata to enhance search visibility. To improve the shopping experience, we updated the navigation menu, added advanced filtering options that allow sorting by price, color, availability, brand, and size. Our team also identified that checkout pages were hosted on a separate domain, negatively impacting the display of Google customer reviews and store ratings.

We worked with the client to unify domains, ensuring store ratings displayed properly to build trust and drive conversions. Additionally, we optimized the Google Business Profile (GBP), updated missing ALT text on images, and restructured product pages to highlight unique selling propositions (USPs). We updated the “Add to Cart” button to a darker shade after our A/B testing showed that the darker shade button saw increased conversions when compared to the white button.


Email & SMS Marketing
We executed a seamless ESP migration, setting up DMARC, SPF, and DKIM authentication for better deliverability. The first phase of our strategy saw us building high-impact automations, including Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart Series, Post-Purchase Series, Winback Series, and Browse Abandonment Series. In the second phase, we implemented SMS marketing strategies and engagement campaigns to increase customer retention and drive sales.
To drive email engagement, we implemented a strategic mix of product highlights, category features, blog updates, and promotional content. We optimized the signup popup and launched a Repeat Purchase Nurture Series to re-engage previous buyers.

Within the first quarter, June Adel recorded 561,748 sessions and 330,810 new users, marking an 18.4% and 15.8% increase from the previous quarter, respectively. Organic traffic saw significant growth with 83,763 organic sessions and 49,007 organic new users, reflecting a 39% and 39.3% increase quarter-over-quarter.
Year over year, impressions increased by 113%, clicks by 105%, and the brand’s average search position improved by 23%. Transactions and revenue saw a quarterly increase of 24% and 26%, respectively. Our link building helped with the publication of several articles during our partnership which contributed to some of these improvements. The reoptimized signup popup resulted in a 1.8K increase in subscribers within the first 30 days.

Within the first three months of launching the automation campaigns, revenue grew by 158.5%. Quarter over quarter, revenue continued to climb by 35%. Within the first year, the subscriber list more than doubled, growing from 52,000 to 108,000, with 89,000 active subscribers. Open rates saw an 82% increase, while click rates grew by 88%. Year over year, attributed revenue from email marketing rose by 182%.
June Adel experienced growth across multiple metrics for yearly seasonal performance. Revenue from the Christmas season email promotion increased by 68.4% year over year. During the same period, open rates rose by 20.8%, while click rates increased by 1%. Both the summer and Labor Day promotions saw gains in revenue, open rates, click rates, and abandoned cart flow performance. Mother’s Day Gift Ideas Email and SMS promotions achieved higher click rates. Revenue from Black Friday Cyber Monday campaigns increased by 182% compared to the previous year. In a 30-day period comparison, total revenue increased by 10%, with Klaviyo-attributed revenue up by 98%.
At the start of the campaign, June Adel had zero SMS subscribers. Within three months, the subscriber base grew to 909, and by the end of the last quarter, it saw an 18.2% increase. Attributed revenue from SMS campaigns grew by 41.1% compared to the previous quarter. The SMS summer sale campaign achieved the highest revenue growth within the first year, with click and open rates surpassing industry averages across all automation and flows launched.
