Overview

Cribsi’s home decor ecommerce store melds the best aspects of modern style with home decor, infusing bold contemporary designs with the warmth and comfort that makes a house a home. Already a top brand in the space, Cribsi wanted to work with a trusted home decor website design and SEO agency to maximize its reach. The brand had already established a loyal group of customers but wanted to expand their market base. They also wanted to capitalize on holiday season sales with targeted marketing strategies.

Problem

The brand reached out to us for our expertise in web design and home decor SEO with a simple challenge: they wanted to reach more customers than ever before. Our task was to help grow Cribsi’s organic traffic, revenue, and conversions and make their pay per click (PPC) ads profitable as soon as possible. Dominating the holiday season and improving their revenue from holiday sales were key priorities for the brand.

Within the first two years of our marketing partnership, our team focused on expanding Cribsi’s audience and cultivating stronger customer engagement. We expanded their SMS/email list to over 10k and substantially improved conversion rates to over 1%. On the PPC side, we looked to optimize both Bing and Google Ads campaigns and drive long-term conversions. The client’s goal was to hit a return on ad spend (ROAS) of at least 5:1.

Web Design and Development

We tweaked this home decor website’s design to enhance customer experience and drive conversions. One change we did was to implement custom templates for the product pages to showcase them better. 

We also integrated a reviews and loyalty platform with the brand’s Shopify store to incorporate user-generated content (UGC) such as product reviews. Additionally, we deployed compelling, personalized shipping messages to further enhance buyer retention.

After updating the theme, we used the Metafields app to replace the COLTYP tags that were previously used to redirect products to collections. This upgrade allowed the client to better customize their Shopify store’s functionality. The client can now store and manage additional, specialized information that isn’t typically captured in Shopify. This feature also supports internal tracking and enables the display of customized information on the website, offering more flexibility for the client’s needs.

Our team added a one-click wishlist functionality to the client’s store to enhance customer engagement. To measure the impact of these changes, we also added Hotjar tracking code to the store, giving us powerful insights into customer behaviors for future improvements.

SEO

As part of our home decor ecommerce store SEO efforts, we used Google Analytics’ User Flow reports to understand how visitors interacted with the store and to find out how we could improve navigation and content flow. We also implemented the native Shopify GA4 integration during this process. 

Along with our website design changes, our home decor SEO specialists recommended optimizing the Contact Us page for conversion tracking. 

Looking at the bigger picture, we analyzed the website’s most popular pages to identify internal linking opportunities, helping guide visitors to other pages on the store.

Results

By enhancing product presentation through custom templates, adding UGC, and streamlining the checkout process, we saw a 47.6% increase in total revenue. Other improvements, such as the addition of wishlist functionality, played a key role in boosting customer engagement, increasing the time each visitor spent on Cribsi’s store. Coupled with more subtle improvements such as optimized metadata and better site navigation, we primed the store for increased organic traffic.
