Overview

After successfully building the Dank Shop website on BigCommerce, KMT Distribution, formerly Dank Shop, reached out to us again to develop their new B2B website on WordPress. With their business evolving and shifting to a wholesale-only model, they needed a scalable, user-friendly platform tailored to their new business structure. Our goal was to create a streamlined, secure, and efficient B2B ecommerce experience that met their operational needs while maintaining the familiarity and reliability their customers expect.

Problem

KMT Distribution required a private, wholesale-only website where products were only visible to logged-in users. They also needed an approval process for new customers, ensuring only verified businesses could place orders. Unlike their previous website, the new platform had to provide wholesale-specific pricing, bulk ordering options, and a simplified shopping experience with minimal scrolling. Additionally, they wanted an improved navigation structure, a customized cart experience, and a seamless integration with ManageMore, their ERP system, to efficiently manage inventory, orders, and customer data.

Solution

Web Design and Development

To meet KMT Distribution’s unique needs, we built a custom WordPress WooCommerce website with ManageMore integration as the core of their operations. This integration allowed for seamless inventory and order management, syncing directly with their existing workflows. Since ManageMore integrates with ShipStation, orders could be processed efficiently, ensuring a smooth fulfillment process.

To support their wholesale model, we installed and configured the Wholesale Suite plugin, including the Wholesale Prices and Wholesale Prices Premium plugins. These plugins enabled tiered pricing structures and exclusive wholesale pricing only visible to logged-in users. The Wholesale Order Form plugin provided a quick and easy bulk ordering experience, making it convenient for customers to add multiple products to their cart without excessive navigation.

To further enhance the website’s functionality, we implemented the WooCommerce Brands plugin, allowing KMT Distribution to categorize products by brand, making it easier for customers to browse and find their preferred items. The Age Gate plugin ensured compliance with industry regulations by restricting access to underage users.

For search and navigation, we integrated Searchanise, a search solution that enhances product discovery with real-time suggestions and filtering options. To provide instant customer support, we added a customized search feature as well as a live chat feature, ensuring that buyers could quickly get assistance when needed.

Additionally, we configured WooCommerce to enforce minimum quantity requirements per order for wholesale buyers. The custom cart provided a smoother checkout experience, aligning with the client’s preference for a simple and intuitive interface with minimal scrolling.
